The main goal of this villa project in Kalkan, Antalya was to create a living space that harmoniously combines modern architecture with the region’s natural landscape and climate, offering both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
To achieve this, the key tasks included developing structural solutions suited to the sloped terrain, designing facades and windows that maximize panoramic views, planning interior circulation in accordance with accessibility standards, and selecting materials and technical systems that ensure comfort in all seasons.
The major challenges involved establishing a foundation system adapted to the land’s slope and soil structure, using facade materials resistant to sea air and strong winds, and integrating unique design elements—such as the “nest” terrace—both aesthetically and structurally in a safe manner.
All these processes were successfully executed through detailed engineering calculations, material research, and a meticulous implementation process.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND TERRAIN
One of the main challenges of this project was adapting to the local climate conditions and terrain structure.
A comprehensive geological and climatic analysis was conducted, taking into account elevation differences, ground stability, and natural landscape features.
To ensure the structure’s longevity and durability, a robust supporting system was built on the sloped terrain using modern technologies and innovative materials.
The panoramic windows and large glass panels featured in every room bring the breathtaking Mediterranean landscape seamlessly into the interior, adding both aesthetic and functional value to the project.
CENTRAL ELEMENT – "NEST"
One of the most striking features of the project is its unique terrace design, inspired by a “nest” form.
Situated outdoors and accessed via a suspended bridge, this special area is surrounded by wooden railings resembling tree branches, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and secure.
Thanks to its elevated position overlooking the landscape, it blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings, achieving perfect harmony with the environment.
Designed exclusively for this project, the terrace is the ideal spot to watch the sunset, read a book, chat with friends, or simply enjoy the serenity of nature — combining comfort and tranquility to reinforce the villa’s distinctive character.
INTERNAL LOGISTICS
One of the most important aspects of the project was ensuring easy and accessible circulation within the interior.
With a focus on comfort for individuals with limited mobility, routes suitable for wheelchair use were meticulously planned.
Ergonomic design principles were applied throughout the space — with wide passageways, low-slope ramps, and accessibility-focused solutions — to create a functional and comfortable living environment for all users.
